4. Can I send you files that are too large to be sent by email?

5. Why do the prices for different languages differ?
Our translation prices are based on supply and demand: if translators for the desired source or target languages are rarely found, or if the language pair is a particularly demanding one, the price translating to and from such languages is likely to increase.
Moreover, a good translation is more than just rephrasing something into another language - to render something effectively in a language far removed from the source, one must take into account the idiosyncrasies of the target language.
6. What is your turnaround time for translations?
Generally, the turnaround time is based on the length and complexity of the document, and whether special formatting is required.
YOYI offers 2 services to choose from, depending on how quickly you need your translation: Best Value and Express.
The typical timeframe for a Best Value translation of 1,000 words is 5 working days. This drops to 1 working day for an Express order.
Large documents are handled in a slightly different way: the task is distributed to a team of translators, who are then coordinated by one of our project managers.
7. Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes, we do, if you can submit an approved glossary (or similar) previously translated by professional translators.
8. How can I be sure that the finished product is of the highest quality?
All our translations are carried out by highly qualified and experienced translators who have grown up speaking the language into which they are translating. We only use native speakers as we strongly believe that living and working in an environment where the target language is actually spoken is the only way to guarantee the purest translations, with correct use of terminology.
9. Is it possible to have my document proofread by another translator?
Yes, of course. Even though all of our translations are undertaken by professional translators, it is possible to get your translated document proofread by a second translator, who will be equally qualified but independent of the original project.
In most cases, you will notice a slightly different choice of terms or syntax, but it is very unlikely that radical changes will need to be made. This is because there is no such thing as a "definitive" translation - in reality many solutions are possible, and can be just as correct as each other. This is the beauty of language!
Add 60% to our rates if you would like two independent translations of your text, each of them check-read.
10. Do you provide oral translation?
Yes, we do - though the more accurate term for this is "interpretation". The difference between interpretation and translation lies within the choice of communication channel. While translation concerns itself with written communication, interpreting deals with the spoken word. Translators work on written documents, while interpreters are accustomed to circumstances that require live translation; for example conferences and business meetings, medical appointments, legal proceedings and the like.
By now, we provide interpretation services only in China.
11. How do you ensure the confidentiality of my oral or written information?
All our translators and interpreters must agree to our terms and conditions before undertaking any job. By doing so, they automatically agree to honor our confidentiality clauses involving non-disclosure of client information.
For projects involving extremely sensitive information, translators/interpreters will be required to sign ad hoc confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
12. What methods of payment do you accept?
Clients can pay directly by bank transfer or credit/debit card using the online payment method secured Paypal.
